2024 Summer Day Camp registration opens Town Meeting Day (March 5th) at 8am on waterburyrec.com only (there will be no in-person registration). Make sure to login to your account prior to registration to ensure correct information & smooth registration.
CHILD'S GRADE FOR SUMMER IS GRADE AT TIME OF REGISTRATION (Spring '24 Grade) - NOT GRADE GOING INTO IN THE FALL.
Camp starts June ___ and runs until August ___. All-camp Field Trips are back this year, with trips planned to Boulder Beach (State Park), Elmore Beach (State Park), Kingsland bay (State Park), and the Waterbury Reservoir (State Park)! Trips & daily pool time are included in camp, no matter where your child is stationed!
Camp is split into 3 age groups, at different locations:
Kindergarten/Pre-K* @ Anderson Recreation Building (30 spots)
1st – 4th grade @ St. Leos Hall (90 spots)
5th - 7th grade @ Brookside Primary School - use High Street entrance (50 spots)

LOCATION KINDERGARTEN: Anderson Field, 27 Butler St., Waterbury, Vt.
LOCATION 1st - 4th GRADE: St. Leos Hall, 109 South Main St., Waterbury, Vt.
LOCATION 5th - 7th GRADE: Brookside Primary School, 4 Primary St., Waterbury, Vt.
Junior Counselor Program: All sites - the program is by invitation/interview.
8-WEEK RESIDENT/NON-RESIDENT COST: $775/$875
1-WEEK RESIDENT/NON-RESIDENT COST: $180/$210
There are limited week-only slots available at $180 for residents and $210 for non-residents. You may not sign up the same child for week-only slots and the full 8-week block- doing so may result in the cancellation of all registrations.
Registration has historically sold out within hours of registration opening on Town Meeting Day (March 5th) so make sure you log into your account to ensure you have no login issues prior to registration opening and that your child's age and grade are listed correctly (grade should reflect their current status in school). Duplicate registrations (two separate logins to sign up the same child) are not allowed and may result in the cancellation of registration. Avoid creating a new account as duplicate households clog up the system and sometimes prevent registration.
A non-refundable $50 deposit is due upon online registration to hold your spot. Half of the remaining balance is due by April _____and the balance in full afterward is due by May _____ – both payment dates are due by 4:00 pm to the town offices or online. Failure to pay within the given deadlines will result in forfeiture of the spot and your deposit, and the next child on the waiting list will resume the open spot. You may pay both the deposit and the registration fee in full online upon checkout, which is helpful, but it is not necessary. You can also return to your online account and pay on the balance prior to the due dates.

Please Note: any COVID policies will be announced (if need be) once we are closer to summer and have more information on any potential regulations. Day camp-only swim lesson options will be announced closer towards summer as well!
*Some Pre-K children may be allowed to enroll in the program if they are potty-trained, etc. Please reach out directly to Wyatt @ wobrien@waterburyvt.com to explore enrollment options prior to town meeting day. Any inquiries on March 7th and after are subject to space available in the program.
